Jourdan Azevedo
With over 15 years of culinary experience, self-taught Chef Jourdan Azevedo was inspired by his grandmothers—one from Portugal and the other of Polish-Irish descent—developing a love for diverse flavors and the power of food to bring people together.
At 18, while working as a waiter, he discovered his passion for transforming raw ingredients into artful dishes. He honed his skills through study, practice, and hands-on experience in a local bistro, rising through the ranks through dedication and perseverance.
Today, Chef Jourdan brings creativity and global influences to every dish, blending classic techniques with bold flavors for a memorable dining experience.
Stephen Gower
Having spent over 10 years in the hospitality industry, Stephen built his career from his first role as a banquet server to becoming a passionate leader in the world of food, drink, and service. Along the way, he discovered a true love for mixology and the joy of creating memorable experiences through drinks.
At The Carver’s Reserve, Stephen is excited to lead a team of talented professionals who share his enthusiasm for exceptional hospitality and to bring a next-level dining experience to the Hazleton area. When he’s not at the restaurant, you’ll usually find Stephen outdoors, hiking or tending to his garden, or on the hunt for new and exceptional whiskies.
Eric wagner
With over 20 years of hospitality and foodservice experience, Eric Wagner is proud to be part of the team to help deliver Hazleton the ultimate modern steakhouse experience: The Carver’s Reserve.
Born and raised in this community and inspired by the area’s once thriving fine dining scene, Eric and his team have set out to bring warm hospitality, outstanding food, and a commitment to excellence back to our area! After earning a marketing degree from Wilkes University, he built a career in the restaurant industry by working in every role—from server to chef to general manager—gaining a deep understanding of what makes a restaurant truly exceptional. Eric currently lives in Drums with his wife and their son, and is proud to invest in the community he calls home.
